Adelaide United’s Westfield W-League squad will return to Coopers Stadium for a stand-alone fixture, following the release of the 2020/21 season draw today.
It will be the first time the Club’s W-League squad will have it’s own match at SA’s premier footballing stadium since the side played Canberra United on Thursday, 22 November in the 2018/19 season.
The match will see the Reds host Brisbane Roar on Sunday, 21 March in the second-to-last match of the regular season, before newly appointed Head Coach, Adrian Stenta’s, squad hosts reigning Premiers and Champions, Melbourne City, at Marden Sports Complex in Round 14.
Commencing the new campaign on the road, and following a bye in Round 1, United will travel to Newcastle to face the Jets on New Year’s Day prior to battling it out against Melbourne Victory at Marden on Saturday, 9 January for the squad’s first home match of the year.
In total, the Reds will host six matches, with one mid-week match in the entire season – a Thursday evening clash with Sydney FC on 21 January – whilst travelling six times also.
