Adelaide United Head Coach, Guillermo Amor, has been named Hyundai A-League Coach of the Year at the Dolan Warren Awards 2016.
In his first year as Adelaide United’s Head Coach, and in his first year as a senior football coach following his stellar playing career for FC Barcelona, Fiorentina, and Villarreal, Guillermo Amor has been named the Hyundai A-League’s Coach of the Year at the Dolan Warren Awards 2016.
Amor successfully lead the Reds to the Premiers’ Plate in the 2015/16 season, its first since the inaugural Hyundai A-League campaign, also overseeing the Reds incredible 14 match undefeated streak – a record for the Club.
Amor has also guided United into the 2016 Hyundai A-League Grand Final.
Speaking after being presented the award, Amor said: “Thank you to everyone very much for this award.
“For me this is special because it’s my first year as a coach and it’s very special.
“This (was possible) because of the players, our group, and our coaches – everyone that works at Adelaide (United).
“It’s impossible to receive this without a very good team, this is for them.
“I will enjoy this moment, but our season is not over because we will play an important game on Sunday.”
