Adelaide United can confirm Josh Cavallo has had successful surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon.
Cavallo ruptured his left Achilles tendon in the 61st minute of the Reds’ 4-4 draw with Western Sydney Wanderers at Coopers Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Following immediate assessment by Club doctor, Dr James Ilic, and further consultation with a specialist, it became clear that Cavallo would require surgery to repair the rupture.
Everyone at Adelaide United wishes Josh the best in his recovery and will support him throughout, as he gets back onto the pitch as soon as possible.
