Adelaide United can announce the departure of Reds forward, Ben Halloran.
Halloran joined the Reds in 2018 and scored 21 goals in 88 appearances across all competitions before sealing a move to FC Seoul. After seven months abroad with the K League 1 side, he re-joined United and eventually went on to play 141 matches for the Club, scoring 28 times in his tenure.
Halloran won successive Australia Cups in 2018 and 2019 and received the Aurelio Vidmar Medal following a sensational 2020/21 campaign.
Ben reflects on his time at Adelaide United.
“Adelaide United will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m grateful for all the amazing people that I have shared this journey with.
“I would like to thank the club, the fans and my teammates for all their support and friendship during my time in this beautiful part of the world,” Ben concluded.
Ben departs as the joint ninth all-time appearance maker for Adelaide United, whilst seventh in the all-time goal scorers list for the Club.
Head Coach, Carl Veart, thanks Ben for his services:
“Ben has been an excellent servant to Adelaide United through the years.
He has contributed to the Club, on and off the field and we are grateful for his efforts.
Adelaide United CEO, Nathan Kosmina said:
“Ben’s contributions go without saying with his 141 appearances, dual Australia Cup wins and being awarded the Aurelio Vidmar Medal.”
“He has been an integral part of the culture of our Club, and he will always be welcome back with open arms.
“We would like to thank him for his services, and we wish him all the very best in the future,” Kosmina concluded.
