Adelaide United had another successful preseason friendly hit-out against West Adelaide on Wednesday evening.
The match served as the official opening of West Adelaide’s new stadium, located on Churchill Road, Kilburn. In attendance was local Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Tom Koutsantonis MP.
The Reds came away with an 8-nil win, with goals from Austin Ayoubi (4), Godwin Bentil (2), Jonny Yull (1) and Josh Cavallo (1).
Josh Cavallo’s goal was the highlight of the night, scoring with a thunderous left footed strike from outside the box.
The Reds will continue their preseason preparations when they face Adelaide Croatia Raiders on Wednesday 14 August. Details to be confirmed in the coming days.
