Adelaide United’s Playford Training Base is undergoing an exciting expansion, with works now underway to deliver new facilities for the Club’s Women’s and Youth programs.
The project will see a modular building addition added to the existing facility at Ridley Reserve, creating new and improved changerooms, treatment and recovery spaces for players.
More than a decade after Ausco Modular first delivered Adelaide United’s purpose-built training facility in Playford, the site is being upgraded to support the next generation of Reds.
Importantly, the expansion will bring Adelaide United’s Men’s, Women’s and Youth programs together under the same roof for the first time in the Club’s history, which marks an important step forward for the Club, creating a shared high-performance environment and a true home for all Adelaide United players.
The new changerooms have been manufactured off-site at Ausco Modular’s Edinburgh facility, with site works now underway at Ridley Reserve following the conclusion of the season.
Chris White, Ausco Modular Business Development Manager said:
“We’re thrilled to support Adelaide United as they expand their training facility at Ridley Reserve, originally delivered by Ausco a decade ago. This is a strong reflection of our longstanding partnership with the club and their continued confidence in modular solutions to support the growth of their player base.”

The project includes preparation works and the installation of a new slab, before the modular building addition is delivered and connected to the existing facility, with works expected to be completed in early July, ahead of the squad’s return to training.
The $1.5 million project is being primarily funded by Adelaide United, with $250,000 in support from the South Australian Government through The Power of Her – Infrastructure and Participation Program.
For Adelaide United, this project represents more than a building upgrade. It is an investment in the Club’s future, its players, and the continued growth of football in South Australia.
