Adelaide United FC is thrilled to unveil a new major partnership with Veolia, the national leader in sustainable water, waste and energy management.
The partnership will see Veolia become the Reds- ‘front of shirt- sponsor for the Hyundai A-League 2013/14 Season, and the French multi-national company is delighted to affiliate itself with Adelaide United in supporting the South Australian community and encouraging young people to get involved in football.
“Through the support for Adelaide United, Veolia will play a major role in getting behind the local community whilst also growing this sport across the entire State,” Veolia-s Group General Manager for SANT, Laurie Kozlovic said.
“Furthermore, as a major business within South Australia, this sponsorship further complements the ongoing financial and in-kind support Veolia has delivered to many local communities via sporting teams, community events and environmental campaigns.”
New signing Michael Zullo showed off the new strip at the announcement as Adelaide United CEO Glenn Elliott welcomed Veolia-s enthusiasm and commitment as a major partner.
“Veolia is a global environmental leader and employs over 4,000 people in Australia and New Zealand – its support of Adelaide United will be recognised both locally in South Australia and across the whole country,” Mr Elliott said.
“Veolia-s practices are renowned, they are a global and local leader in environmental services, and as a side note they are also a major sponsor of French club FC Lyon, so it puts us in elite company.”
“In securing Veolia as our ‘front of shirt- sponsor, we are marketing an iconic brand with its national presence. It is a breakthrough announcement for our club.”
With football being the fastest growing team sport for girls, and has the highest participation rate for boys aged 5-14, Veolia is looking forward to further raising the profile of the sport, especially in regional areas of South Australia.
“As one of the most high profile sports and with participation rates growing for young men and women across Australia, Veolia is excited to join Adelaide United as it embarks on the 2013/14 Season,” Mr Kozlovic added.
“We encourage all South Australians to get behind our team in the Hyundai A-League.”
