Playmaker Marcelo Carrusca is set to only miss one game due to a groin injury he sustained in last Friday night-s match against the Newcastle Jets.
An MRI scan this morning revealed there is no tear to the area, meaning the skilful Argentinean will likely miss Sunday-s clash against the Central Coast Mariners but be a strong chance to face Perth Glory in the Reds- final minor round match of the season on Easter Saturday.
After scoring the equalising goal early in the second half of the 1-1 draw with the Jets, Carrusca was replaced in the 75th minute after being hampered by a groin problem.
The club-s medical staff will carefully monitor Carrusca-s progress and he is expected to resume running in the next couple of days.
The Reds- only other current injury concern is midfielder Osama Malik who is recovering from an ankle injury, the club hopeful of having him available for the finals series.
