Adelaide United can announce Emilia Murray and Grace Wilson have signed amateur agreements with the Club ahead of the Liberty A-League 2021/22 season.

The pair join the Reds after strong seasons with Football SA NTC in the local Women’s National Premier League (WNPL).

Murray, 17, is a midfielder and scored nine goals in 11 matches.

Speaking on signing with Adelaide, Murray said: “I’m extremely excited and grateful to be joining Adelaide United.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to play in the Liberty A-League and that is my goal now because the hard work has only just started.”

Meanwhile, 16-year-old Wilson is a goalkeeper and played eight games in the WNPL.

After putting pen-to-paper on her contract, Wilson said: “This is a great opportunity to train at the highest level.

“I’m really looking forward to working alongside a great squad and try and learn as much as I can.”

Adelaide United’s Liberty A-League Head Coach, Adrian Stenta, said: “Despite being two of the youngest players in our team, Emilia and Grace are both very talented and have a lot of potential.

“By training with our squad on a regular basis their development will only continue improving.

“I’m really satisfied with how our squad has come together as we prepare to take on reigning champions, Melbourne Victory, on Sunday for our season opener.”
