Adelaide United is excited to unveil its new home jersey for the 2019/20 season, which will be worn for the first time in next week’s FFA Cup Quarter Final clash against Newcastle Jets.
The home kit, manufactured by the Club’s on-field partner, Macron, encompasses the traditional state colours: red, navy, and yellow, while offering a modern twist.
The predominantly red strip also features an embossed horizontal diamond pattern on the front of the shirt. The slightly darker red stripes, while subtle, create an effective contrast, producing a unique feel while remaining true to the Club’s history.
A crew neck replaces a collar which is accentuated by navy and yellow trimming, as too are the outline of the sleeves, complementing the overall design.
For the league season the FFA Cup patch will be replaced by a Hyundai A-League badge, while the Championship star will appear above the Club logo.
The piping shrike, synonymous with South Australia, is positioned at the top of the neck as does the Club’s foundation year, 2003.
Mesh inserts under the arms further enhance breathability and comfort enabling players to perform to their optimal.
The shorts are predominantly red and showcase blue trimming, while the socks are also red with thin, vertical yellow and blue stripes in keeping with the theme of the overall kit.
The home jersey is available for purchase online, here.
