Lachlan Brook says Adelaide United are only concentrated on winning their remaining two regular season matches.
The Reds have accumulated seven points from their three matches since the restart under interim Head Coach, Carl Veart.
Adelaide will most probably have to collect maximum points against Sydney FC and Melbourne City and then rely on favourable results to qualify for finals football.
However, Brook, admitted the Reds are not getting caught up in the various permutations.
“For us we’re just focusing on the next two games,” Brook told reporters in a press conference via Zoom.
“Obviously two very good oppositions, so for us they’re must win games.
“With the other teams and relying on other points we don’t really focus on that, we try and focus on the things we can control, and we can control winning, so that’s our main focus.”
The recently crowned premiers in Sydney suffered a surprise 2-0 loss to second-place Melbourne City at the weekend.
Brook praised the Sky Blues’ quality but said the team’s mindset going into the clash at ANZ Stadium will be to get the victory.

“Sydney are a beatable side and we saw that against (Melbourne) City,” he said.
“… They’ve got an elite offence but the rest of the team also has a lot of quality as well.
“We don’t focus on one area, we obviously focus on all areas, but it’s definitely one of their strong parts though.”
The 19-year-old also scored his first goal for the Reds against Perth Glory courtesy of a wonderful finish, in what just his third career start.
“It’s been challenging for me,” Brook said, who has accumulated a total of eight senior appearances for Adelaide after becoming the third youngest player at the time to debut for the Club in May 2017.
“Obviously, the last two seasons I’ve had injuries and things like that that have stopped me.
“Obviously not getting much game time this season under Gertjan (Verbeek), but those challenges are always going to come.
“You’re always going to have coaches that may not put you into a team for certain reasons.
“… But I’ve worked hard and I knew having Carl as a coach, if I put good impressions on him from the start, then hopefully I could get something out of it and it’s starting to all happen which is good for me.”
