Our four part Christmas Crackers series continues with another look at three stunning goals scored by the Reds in the month of December.
Here are three quality strikes to get you into the festive spirit.
Carrusca picks out the bottom corner vs Wellington Pheonix – 16/12/12 @ Hindmarsh Stadium
Having already opened the scoring, Marcelo Carrusca added a second inside 25 minutes with unmistaken accuracy. Bruce Djite spread a pass out wide to the Argentine, who was given the time and space, to cut in on his left foot. From just outside the box he arrowed his effort into the bottom right corner and beyond the goalkeeper’s near post.

Jerónimo rounds off rout in style vs Central Coast Mariners – 14/12/13 @ Coopers Stadium
Up 3-0 and guaranteed of securing a first win since Round 1, Jerónimo inflicted the final knockout blow courtesy of a clinical finish in the 90th minute. The Argentine striker chased down a through ball, before showing composure to dispatch his shot past the hapless Liam Reddy and condemn the Mariners to a 4-0 defeat, kick-starting a subsequent seven-game unbeaten streak.

Fábio Ferreira’s scintillating strike vs Western Sydney Wanderers – 06/12/14 @ Coopers Stadium
The Reds were in need of doubling their advantage against the 10 man Wanderers to eliminate any chance of a fightback. Leading 1-0 thanks to Carrusca’s first-time, side-volleyed goal, Adelaide finally capitalised on their dominance after the break through Ferreira. The Portuguese speedster cut inboard and pulled off a one-two with Carrusca, whose return elevated pass enabled Ferreira to continue his darting run forward and sumptuously hit a half-volleyed strike – ricocheting in off the upright.
