The Young Reds will look to rebound after their loss against Adelaide City last weekend, confident of their ability to attain the victory over the Adelaide Comets on home turf.

United’s Youth Team Head Coach, Mark Jones, said his team was disappointed with last week’s loss, but cannot let it sour their spirits as the squad’s previous performances have been impressive.

“The boys were quite disappointed after the game against Adelaide City”, Jones said. “(Adelaide City) are a very good team and took their chances.

“But we have moved on from that match and our focus is now on the next game against Comets.

“We will just take it game by game and continue to play our best football, learning from any mistakes and working to improve upon them.

Adelaide United's Youth Team take on Adelaide Comets on Saturday at the Elite Systems Football Centre.

“It will be good to have the full squad back to train as a unit, as we had a few players in the first team last week and we were unable to train together.

“The training sessions have the boys working hard as always, and strengthening certain areas in defence, and the final third.”

Speaking on the game against Comets, Jones said it will be a tough challenge as the Young Reds will face another good squad, however declared the confidence he has in his players in being able to get the three points.

“Comets are another good team in the competition,” he continued. “We must focus and perform at our best to stop them from scoring and also score on our end.

“The team has not lost any confidence from last week, they know what they are capable of and can get the job done.

“We will bounce back and I believe with the confidence and abilities of the team, we can answer back with a win this weekend.”
