Adelaide United announce signings of Carina Rossi and Amelie Millar

Adelaide United is delighted to announce the signings of Carina Rossi and Amelie Millar for the upcoming Ninja A-League Women’s season.

Rossi, 18, joins the Reds after a standout season with Box Hill United in the NPLW Victoria, where she scored nine goals in 13 appearances, helping her side secure the 2025 Championship.

The exciting forward was instrumental in Box Hill’s Grand Final triumph over Heidelberg United last week, netting a brace to cap off a stellar campaign.

Previously part of Melbourne City’s A-League Women’s squad, Rossi was named as a substitute in their AFC Women’s Club Championship fixtures, gaining valuable experience at the elite level.

Joining her in Adelaide is 16-year-old goalkeeper, Amelie Millar, a Launceston FC product and one of Tasmania’s brightest emerging talents.

Millar has represented her state at multiple youth levels, playing for Tasmania’s Under 14 and Under 15 State Teams, and captaining those sides in 2023 and 2024.

She was also a member of the inaugural Football Australia – Football Tasmania Academy program, and earlier this year was selected for a Junior Matildas training camp.

In August, Millar represented Australia at the Junior Matildas’ ASEAN Tournament in Indonesia, playing a key role as the team went on to win the competition.

Head of Football Marius Zanin said:

“Both Carina and Amelie are exciting young prospects with enormous potential. Carina has shown her ability to perform in big moments and brings attacking flair and confidence, while Amelie has demonstrated maturity beyond her years and a strong work ethic,” said Zanin.

We’re thrilled to welcome them both into the Adelaide United family and look forward to supporting their continued development within our A-League Women’s program,” Zanin concluded.
