Adelaide United joins “The Power of Her” to celebrate women’s sport in South Australia

Adelaide United was proud to take part in today’s Power of Her media launch at Norwood Oval – a campaign celebrating South Australia’s elite women’s sporting codes coming together to boost crowds, drive visibility, and inspire the next generation of female athletes.

Adelaide United A-League Women’s players Sian Dewey and Ilona Melegh attended the event alongside representatives from the Adelaide Crows, Port Adelaide, Adelaide Lightning, Adelaide Strikers, and Adelaide Thunderbirds, as well as Ministers Rhiannon Pearce MP and Katrine Hildyard MP.

The Power of Her initiative will unite South Australia’s major women’s sporting codes through a shared marketing and event calendar, running from October 2025 through March 2026. The campaign aims to encourage fans to attend key matches across sports, showcasing the strength, skill, and spirit of South Australian women’s sport.

Adelaide United will proudly host its Power of Her feature match on Friday, 13 March 2026, when the Reds take on Perth Glory at Coopers Stadium.
