Adelaide United Members’ Forum 2024 Recap: A Vision for the Future

On Thursday, 15th August, Adelaide United held an engaging Members Forum at Club United (Coopers Stadium), where the club’s future plans and vision were laid out in front of fans. The forum was hosted by Jarrod Walsh and featured two insightful panel discussions.

The first panel included Chair Ned Morris, Technical Director Ernest Faber, and CEO Nathan Kosmina were they discussed emphasised Adelaide United’s commitment to building a healthy and stable football club that truly represents South Australia. A key focus of their discussion was community engagement, which they see as essential for the club’s long-term success. They also shared details on the club’s strategic signings and the importance of cultivating a robust and dynamic team.

In the second panel, ALM Coach Carl Veart, ALW Coach Adrian Stenta, along with Technical Director Ernest Faber and CEO Nathan Kosmina, expanded on the club’s vision, particularly for the women’s team. The discussion highlighted strategies for strengthening the women’s squad as well as marketing strategies for international football matches.

The partnership with PSV Eindhoven was another significant topic, illustrating the club’s ambitions to foster international connections and raise Adelaide United’s profile globally. The forum didn’t shy away from addressing challenges, particularly the difficulties faced in the Australian Professional Leagues (APL), where issues such as poor management and a lack of transparency during the 2023/24 season were candidly discussed.

Throughout the event, the speakers shared their insights on fan engagement, emphasising the importance of creativity and entrepreneurship in overcoming challenges.
