It was an extremely busy month for Adelaide United in the community as we did a number of visits to schools, local clubs and helped support several excellent causes.
Welcome Centre
The Welcome Centre in Bowden is known for its diversity, compassion, generosity and commitment to giving all people a fair go. Once a month the Welcome Centre organises a dinner which brings the community together. Reds players Baba Diawara and Pacifique Niyongabire attended the dinner held on Thursday, 15 November and brought the FFA Cup 2018 trophy along whilst mingling with families about their football and life experiences.
McHappy Day
On Saturday, 17 November, players from our Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League squads supported McHappy Day, at various McDonald’s restaurants across Adelaide. They helped raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities which do tremendous work in helping put smiles on the face of seriously ill children and their families. The players were given a demonstration by the McDonald’s staff of the tasks they do before they served customers, took orders and helped prepare some of the food.

Premier’s Be Active and Reading Challenges
Adelaide United were once again heavily involved in the Premier’s Be Active and Reading challenges and attended both ceremonies on 21 and 22 November. The FFA Cup 2018 trophy was present at the Be Active challenge which proved a great success. We look forward to taking part in both initiatives next year. If you would like an Adelaide United player at your school as part of either challenge please click the request button to fill out the appropriate form below.
