Adelaide United can announce the departure of Al Hassan Toure from the Club.
After making his Reds’ debut in the 2019 FFA Cup Round of 32, Toure was awarded the Mark Viduka Medal in the Club’s 4-0 Final win over Melbourne City at Coopers Stadium. In all competitions in his two seasons as part of the Reds’ senior men’s team, Toure made 36 appearances and scored seven goals.
Speaking about his departure, Toure said: “I want to thank everyone at Adelaide United for my time at the Club.
“It’s sad to be leaving, but we were able to achieve some great things together and these are memories I’ll cherish for a long time.
“I wish the boys and the Club all the best for the future.”
Adelaide United Head Coach, Carl Veart, said: “As we approach the new season, it was becoming clearer that Al Hassan wasn’t going to be part of our starting eleven week in, week out, given our depth in wide positions.
“At this stage in his development it is paramount he has consistent opportunities to play.
“We discussed our plans with him and ultimately agreed that it was in Al Hassan’s best interest to seek a fresh start.
“Al Hassan has worked hard for Adelaide United since first joining our Youth Team from Croydon Kings and we wish him the best as he seeks regular football.”
