Adelaide United is pleased to announce Archie Goodwin as the winner of the 2024/25 A-League Men Rising Star Award.
The A-League Rising Star is selected by a panel of coaching staff and presented to the player who has experienced a breakout campaign. Selection criteria includes identifying a player who has impressed either in their debut season or to a player that has had a breakout season.
Awer Mabil, Mathew Leckie, Nathan Konstandopoulos, Ryan Strain, Josh Cavallo, Bernardo, and Alexandar Popović are just some of the past winners to be named the Rising Star. Most recent winners are Nestory Irankunda., Ethan Alagich and last season Giuseppe Bovalina.
Head Coach, Carl Veart applauded Goodwin’s grit and determination that personified his breakout season:
“Archie’s had a strong season and adapted quickly to United’s playing style. His consistency, work ethic, and ability to impact games in key moments has been impressive. He’s handled himself well and continues to show he’s at home in the A-League.”
