Adelaide United is pleased to announce Ella Tonkin as the winner of the 2024/25 A-League Women Players’ Player Award.
The A-League Women Players’ Player award is chosen by the squad in a 3-2-1 voting system at the end of the regular season and goes to the person that maintains high standards both on and off the pitch. The winner is someone who teammates look up to and aspire to be like.
Captain, Isabel Hodgson did not shy away from her praise of Ella’s performance and leadership this season:
“Ella has been the heart of the team this season; always leading by example, stepping up in the big moments, and putting the team first no matter what. Her consistency, drive, and selflessness haven’t gone unnoticed, and there’s no one more deserving of Players’ Player.
She’s the kind of teammate everyone wants beside them- dependable, passionate, and always willing to give 100 percent.”
