Adelaide United is pleased to announce Zoe Tolland as the winner of the 2024/25 A-League Women Rising Star Award.
The Rising Star award is in recognition of a player who has shown the most potential over the course of the season and is selected by the Ninja A-League Head Coach. Tolland joins the likes of former winners including Matilda McNamara, Nanako Sasaki, Annalee Grove, and last season’s winner, Ella Tonkin.
Head Coach, Adrian Stenta was full of praise for Tolland’s work ethic and growth over the season:
“Zoe has had an outstanding season where she has started every regular season game and played nearly every minute. She’s a key pillar of our backline, who contributed significantly to our club record seven clean sheets, as well as contributing at the other end through scoring her first A-League Women’s goal against Melbourne City.
“Zoe is a courageous defender, who plays with a team first mentality. She excels in one on one situation and is rarely beaten by her opponent. She’s worked hard in her time at Adelaide United to go from an uncontracted train-on player to a key starter in our most successful team in Club history, with her efforts culminating in this award tonight”
