Adelaide United is pleased to announce Archie Goodwin as the winner of the 2024/25 UCAN A-League Men Golden Boot, with 13 goals in his first season with Adelaide United.
Goodwin’s tally also secured him the honour of joint Golden Boot winner across the Isuzu UTE A-League; the youngest player to ever do so in League history.
The Golden Boot is awarded to the player who has scored the most goals in the regular season. Previous recipients include Bruce Djite, Sergio van Dijk, Cristiano, Ryan Kitto, Riley McGree, Craig Goodwin, and Hiroshi Ibusuki.
Head Coach, Carl Veart applauded Goodwin’s tenacity in front of goal:
“Archie has been outstanding for us this season. To come in and make the impact he has, especially at his age, speaks volumes about his talent and attitude. He works extremely hard, always wants to improve, and has a real hunger to score goals. To win the Golden Boot in his first season with us, and to do it across the whole league, is a phenomenal achievement. He’s got a big future ahead of him.”
