Alagich Vidmar 2025/26 1Komma5° Powerplay Moment of the Year: Luka Late Show

Adelaide United is pleased to announce Luka Jovanović and his Round 26, 98th minute winner against Melbourne City as the winner of the 2025/26 1Komma5° Power Play Moment of the Year award.

The fan-voted award, expanded in 2021 to celebrate goals, saves, technical brilliance and defining moments across our Isuzu UTE A-League and Ninja A-League seasons, is decided by a final fan vote from a shortlist made up of each monthly Power Play Moment winner, with those standout moments progressing to be eligible for the end-of-season award.

This year’s winner, Luka Jovanović’s dramatic 98th-minute winner against Melbourne City in Round 26, captured the imagination of the Reds family for both its timing and significance. With one of the final kicks of the regular season, Jovanović delivered a clutch moment that propelled Adelaide United into second place, securing a direct path to the semi-finals, including a home leg at Coopers Stadium, while also confirming qualification for Asian football.

It was a goal loaded with consequence, emotion and drama, epitomising a moment that defined the season. From the late-match stakes to the magnitude of what it achieved, it stood out among a season’s worth of monthly winners as the ultimate 1Komma5° Power Play Moment of the Year.

Luke Stronach, CEO of 1KOMMA5° Australia, said the Power Play Moment of the Year award recognised the energy, impact and consistency brought to Adelaide United throughout the season.

“The 1KOMMA5° Power Play of the Year award is about celebrating the player who made a real difference every time they stepped onto the pitch. Jovanović brought outstanding energy, commitment and impact this season, and we’re proud to recognise his contribution.

“At 1KOMMA5°, we’re passionate about bringing new energy to Australian homes, so it’s a privilege to partner with Adelaide United and celebrate the players who bring that same spirit to the game.”
