Alagich Vidmar 2025/26 ALM Rising Star: Jonny Yull

Adelaide United is pleased to announce Jonny Yull as the winner of the 2025/26 A-League Men Rising Star Award.

The A-League Men Rising Star is selected by a panel of coaching staff and presented to the player who has experienced a breakout campaign. Selection criteria includes identifying a player who has impressed either in their debut season or to a player that has had a breakout season.

Awer Mabil, Mathew Leckie, Nathan Konstandopoulos, Ryan Strain, Josh Cavallo, Bernardo, and Alexandar Popović are just some of the past winners to be named the Rising Star. Most recent winners are Nestory Irankunda, Ethan Alagich, Giuseppe Bovalina and last season, Archie Goodwin.

Head Coach Airton Andrioli praised Jonny Yull’s consistency and maturity, highlighting a breakout campaign that saw him emerge as one of the competition’s brightest young talents:

“Jonny has had an excellent season and shown great maturity throughout. His consistency, work ethic, and composure in key moments have been really impressive, especially for a player of his age.

“He’s embraced every challenge, continues to develop his game, and has proven he belongs at this level. Winning the Rising Star award is a deserved recognition, and he has a very bright future ahead of him.”
