Michael Marrone says Adelaide United will be going into both matches against Melbourne City with the same mentality when they meet twice in the space of four days.
The Reds take on City in the Hyundai A-League on Sunday before hosting the same opponent in the FFA Cup Final 2019 on Wednesday night.
Marrone, who formerly played for the Victorian outfit when they were known as Melbourne Heart, said he was excited of the number of matches coming up.
“It’s exciting I don’t think there’ll be any fatigue,” Marrone told the media at the Adelaide United Training Centre.
“It’s enough time to recover so we’ll just look forward to this game on Sunday and then in a couple of days it’ll be a home game.
“So that’s a bonus as well and a packed Coopers Stadium so that will be great.”

The 32-year-old veteran added that his side will not be approaching Sunday’s game any differently such as altering tactics and taking a cautious approach, despite playing the Victorian outfit again three days later.
“You just want to try and win every game and of course there’s going to be a little bit more on the line Wednesday with the chance to win a trophy and to be able to celebrate with the team,” he insisted.
“But you just want to go out and win every game… It’s hard to predict what sort of game it’s going to be, but if our last home game was anything to go by we’ll play nice and free and attacking.”
Adelaide have already played City on three occasions during pre-season and Marrone affirmed they are a completely changed team under the guidance of new boss, Erick Mombaerts.
“We’ve been lucky enough to play them a couple of times already in pre-season,” he continued.
“Of course we play them on Sunday and then in the Cup so it’ll be quite a few times we’ll end up playing them early on.
“They’re a changed side from last year and they play really attractive football, and they’re very dangerous.
“We’re going to have to play well to get a result.”
