During the recent term 3 school holidays Adelaide United launched two football clinics which were run by Reds legend, Marcelo Carrusca.
In the first week of the holidays, Jack Smith Park, home of West Torrens Birkalla, played host to the first three-day clinic with 36 girls and boys aged between 5 and 12 taking part.
The second clinic occurred a week later at Ridley Reserve West in Elizabeth with 75 participants attending. Adelaide United also gave out three complimentary places to families from the Welcoming Centre.
Both clinics proved a huge success with some parents giving feedback that their kids really enjoyed the three days and learned lots of new skills and techniques from Marcelo and his coaching staff.
Registrants also received a full Adelaide United Macron Training kit, while players from the Reds’ senior squad visited the clinics to stop for photos, answer questions, and sign autographs.
Speaking about the clinics Carrusca, said: “It was great to see so many kids attend both clinics.
“I think both were really successful and ran smoothly and I’d like to thank everyone involved for helping make this possible.
“Hopefully there will be more opportunities to run clinics with Adelaide United moving forward.”
The Club would also like to say a massive thank you to Sportspower Zorich Group for supplying all the equipment from goals, bibs, cones, and balls, in addition to the City of Playford and West Torrens Birkalla for providing the venues.
Stay tuned for further clinics in the near future.
