Director of Football Bruce Djite held a third #AUFCQandA on Twitter on Wednesday, 11 March inviting questions on anything. While it wasn’t possible to answer every single questions posed within an hour, AUFC Media have compiled the full Q&A below.
Today I will be answering your questions between 4:00pm-5:00pm. Feel free to ask absolutely anything. Start sending in your questions now and I will answer as many as possible. @AdelaideUnited #AUFCQandA

Sergio Aguero would be handy! @chelocarrusca make some calls amigo 😜#AUFCQandA https://t.co/wZobzIfi2Z

I do not think an exclusive @AdelaideUnited stadium is the answer. From what I have seen and the meetings I have had, it is clear a multipurpose arena is by far the best solution for events, sports and the South Australian economy. What better time to embark on nation building! https://t.co/r4K659zZIV

I have never played NPL, so I cannot give you an accurate enough answer. What I will say is being a full-time professional is all consuming.
The biggest challenge for NPL players I believe would be the intensity and the consistent higher level of football. #AUFCQandA https://t.co/gAszmrbAyL

Name the Club and I will be more than happy to come down. I am confident I'd be able to entice a number of players to attend. They love interacting and engaging with the community.
Be sure to get in contact with us! #AUFCQandA https://t.co/88fEnbWUB2

As a player it was playing for the @Socceroos and winning the @ALeague double.
To date as DoF it has been my ability to sign top South Australian's who historically did not consider returning to the Club.
I enjoy a wide range od music #AUFCQandA https://t.co/T0BuJc6ijm— Bruce Djité (@BDjite) March 11, 2020
We have an eye on next season, I am constantly trying to future proof the players at the Club. At the moment we are still in discussions with a few players. As the @ALeague expands it is great to see so many in demand players choosing to remain at @AdelaideUnited 1/2 https://t.co/z2wcdmSV1I

Considering the movement in the $AUD of late, the cost of foreign players will be significantly higher next season if the currency remains at these levels. It would therefore be difficult to secure a top class striker in my opinion. We also have some great young locals. 2/2
— Bruce Djité (@BDjite) March 11, 2020
There is always movement at the end of the season. What is for sure is that the current squad will not be exactly the same next season. #AUFCQandA https://t.co/1jTTOdA86u

I believe there should be a gradual move to removing the cap. I am a free markets type of guy however, it needs to be done with a great deal of caution as well as necessary checks and balances. Over time maybe we will see a salary-cap free @ALeague #AUFCQandA https://t.co/DfL9r0xfCb
— Bruce Djité (@BDjite) March 11, 2020
There are enough rules and regulations. We should master VAR first. Also, if a player has to come off they must remain off for at least 3 minutes. This would restrict time wasting and other such antics where players come off and run straight back on. #AUFCQandA https://t.co/1LIfWXGz2m
— Bruce Djité (@BDjite) March 11, 2020
It would free up more space in the cap for local players. #AUFCQandA https://t.co/tK0RDfbEW1
— Bruce Djité (@BDjite) March 11, 2020
We would just be blocking the path of some of the great young players we have here at @AdelaideUnited. @nathanburns10 and myself are happy watching the next crop come through. We had our time and it was great fun! #AUFCQandA https://t.co/rnrwBPvtQF

I believe our nation's capital city deserves a team! If done well, such a Club would add a great deal to the @ALeague. #AUFCQandA https://t.co/UA4N6VJu1N

Which @AdelaideUnited player did @MelbourneCity ever purchase? Last I checked transfers between Australian clubs were not allowed 🤷♂️ https://t.co/azNZjA0G6X
— Bruce Djité (@BDjite) March 11, 2020
Yes, he was a free agent and his contract with the Club had expired. However, that was before my time. #AUFCQandA https://t.co/VF3rbfBWuq

Everyone who has ever played in the @ALeague is replaceable in my opinion. #AUFCQandA https://t.co/G6fr58AAgq

100% rectangular and it would have to be within the CBD precinct. #AUFCQandA https://t.co/uqx5VUcUUl
— Bruce Djité (@BDjite) March 11, 2020
Yes, the arena I am talking about would be rectangular. We already have a fantastic oval shaped stadium here in Adelaide. A world class multipurpose rectangular arena is what is needed! #AUFCQandA https://t.co/tieaOWT92O
— Bruce Djité (@BDjite) March 11, 2020
New arena would be rectangular. There are a number of sports who require a rectangular facility. #AUFCQandA https://t.co/ebtlJ25CcP

There has been a few, I am reluctant to name any names. I do not believe I have the character space either. A discussion for another day perhaps. #AUFCQandA https://t.co/SiKxyladeS

Visa players are always a calculated risk. As in previous tweet they are getting more and more difficult to attract. The local Australian talent pool is relatively shallow, when expansion is taken into account. Hence, our focus on maintaining core players. #AUFCQandA https://t.co/btYzviHyHy
