Adelaide United host Brisbane Roar in the Quarter Final of the Australia Cup, determined to reach the last four for an impressive fifth time in the competition’s history.
The Reds will be looking for an improved performance after needing penalties to get past Adelaide City in the Round of 16.
Brisbane will also be hoping for a more convincing display after too requiring a penalty shootout to defeat Avondale FC in the previous round.
The Roar have never made it to the semi-finals of the Australia Cup, a drought they will be desperate to snap at ServiceFM Stadium.
The two sides have met on one occasion in this tournament, way back in 2014. That night saw Adelaide prevail in a comfortable 2-0 last 16 victory at Coopers Stadium.
Team news
Carl Veart confirmed Craig Goodwin remains unavailable as he manages groin soreness and is expected to continue light training for another two to three weeks. However, aside from the Reds’ Captain, Veart will have a full squad at his disposal.
