Australia Cup Round of 32 Match Details Confirmed

Adelaide United can confirm our Australia Cup Round of 32 clash against Newcastle Jets will take place on Wednesday 30 July at Maitland Sportsground.

Football Australia has confirmed the match schedule for the Hahn Australia Cup 2025 Round of 32, with a number of intriguing clashes across five Match Days, as Australia’s largest annual knockout sporting competition enters its Final Rounds.

Starting with 718 teams in early-February, the Hahn Australia Cup 2025 has now been whittled down to 32 from right across the country’s football ecosystem, all vying for Cup Final glory later this year.

Match Day 1 of the Hahn Australia Cup Final Rounds kicks off with Football Queensland’s Peninsula Power FC facing Isuzu UTE A-League opposition in Western Sydney Wanderers FC, while Stirling Macedonia FC will make the long journey from Western Australia to meet the in-form Avondale FC. Excitement also hits the Top End as Darwin Olympic SC take centre stage against NPL3 outfit, Nunawading City FC – with the winner set to progress to the Round of 16 for the first time in their history.

Taking place across New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania, all fixtures on Match Day 2 will feature Member Federation teams striving for their place in the Round of 16. Perth Glory FC welcomes Wellington Phoenix FC on Match Day 3, after both clubs earned their Final Rounds berths through the Playoffs held in Darwin in May.

Two Isuzu UTE A-League clubs will take on Member Federation teams on Match Day 4 as SD Raiders FC and Olympic Kingsway FC host Hahn Australia Cup 2025 Finalists, Macarther FC and Melbourne Victory FC respectively. Auckland FC will make their Hahn Australia Cup debut against Gold Coast Knights FC before Isuzu UTE A-League compatriots, Western United FC and Sydney FC face off.

The Round of 32 concludes with four compelling fixtures on Match Day 5, with a local derby set for Football Queensland as Brisbane City FC and Olympic FC do battle, while newly appointed Newcastle Jets FC Head Coach, Mark Milligan goes head-to-head with his former club, Adelaide United FC. South Australia’s MetroStars travel to the nation’s capital to meet Canberra Croatia FC and APIA Leichhardt FC will take on reigning Isuzu UTE A-League Champions, Melbourne City FC in what promises to be a thrilling finish to the Round of 32.

The Draw for the Australia Cup 2025 Round of 16 will take place following the coverage of APIA Leichhardt FC v Melbourne City FC on Wednesday 30 July, where both Round of 16 match ups and the path to the Quarter Finals and Semi Finals will be revealed.

Round of 16, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals Draw:

  • Round of 16, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals:
  • For the Round of 16 the balls containing the names of all participating Clubs will be placed in one (1) pot. The balls will be drawn, opened, and revealed one at a time, until all balls have been drawn.
  • The Quarter Finals and Semi Finals Draw will be conducted immediately following the Round of 16 Draw. Balls will contain a match number instead of participating Club names – these match numbers will correspond to the Round of 16 matches (e.g., Winner of Match 1 vs Winner of Match 2).
  • The balls will be drawn, opened and revealed one at a time, until all balls have been drawn.
  • This format creates a tournament bracket for the Quarter Finals and Semi Finals, with the winners of the Round of 16 knowing who they are likely to face in the next stage of the competition.
  • Home teams in the Quarter Finals and Semi Finals will be determined using the same principles as above via draw order, or in the event of a Member Federation Club facing an Isuzu UTE A-League Men Club.

Cup Final:

The Hahn Australia Cup 2025 winner will gain direct entry into the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League Two for the 2026-2027 season.

The selection of the Host Venue for the Hahn Australia Cup 2025 Final will be determined by Football Australia and announced following the Semi Finals.
