Football Federation Australia (FFA) today announced the 23 players set to feature at an Australia U-23 men’s national football team training camp in Doha, Qatar throughout the forthcoming October FIFA window.

Early next week players from a host of clubs across Europe and Australia will arrive in Doha for the training camp which will assist the squad’s development in the build up to next year’s AFC U-23 Championship, which will be held in Thailand.

Last week Australia was drawn in Group A alongside host Thailand, Iraq, and Bahrain for the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship, a competition which serves as the men’s football qualification process for next year’s Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Australia’s U-23 squad for the training camp in Qatar features players currently contracted to clubs in England, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Scotland, Greece, Croatia, and Australia.

FFA acknowledges the Qatar Football Association for their assistance in the organisation of the training camp in Doha.
