On Wednesday morning we launched our first Comwire IT United Business Series for the year with an event showcasing ‘Women In Business’. We highlighted women working in non-traditional sectors and the similarities between this and playing professional sport.
Hosted by our Major Partner for the Westfield W-League, SA Power Networks, we heard from an array of fantastic speakers including Professor Clare Pollock (Deputy Vice Chancellor Students – Flinders University), Committee for Adelaide CEO, Jodie van Deventer and SA Power Networks General Manager, Doug Schmidt and Learning & Development Manager Angela Coker.
Our Director of Football, Bruce Djite, provided an update around our W-League program and some of the wonderful initiatives we are putting together in collaboration with both Flinders University and SA Power Networks.
