Adelaide United’s Round 2 Isuzu UTE A-League match against Melbourne City has been re-scheduled to Sunday 29 October at 6:30pm ACDT.
The game at Coopers Stadium will be played a day later than initially fixtured to allow City more time to return from Thailand where it will face Buriram United in an Asian Champions League match on Wednesday 25 October.
A-Leagues Commissioner Nick Garcia said the change was unfortunate but unavoidable due to Melbourne City’s international travel.
“Participation in AFC competitions is of great value to our clubs and we want to give them every chance of success,” he said.
“We know this decision will impact members and supporters and we hope they are still able to attend Coopers Stadium for what should be a brilliant contest.”
Impacted ticketholders will receive communications from Ticketek in the coming days.
Adelaide United’s Round 11 and Round 14 Liberty A-League fixtures against Melbourne City and Perth have also been altered.
They’re among a host of fixture changes across the Isuzu UTE A-League and Liberty A-League to assist Australian clubs playing in Asian continental competitions.
