Adelaide United Youth encountered a second defeat of the Foxtel Y-League 2019/20 season after a 5-1 loss to Brisbane Roar Youth at AJ Kelly Park on Saturday.
Lachlan Brook restored parity on 17 minutes to extinguish a third minute penalty from Mirza Muratovic, but the Brisbane striker would go on to score a hat-trick.
Indeed, it was rather one-way traffic after that as the Roar side, boasting considerable Hyundai A-League experience proved too strong.

United Youth Head Coach, Paul Pezos, fielded a young line-up and made two changes to his XI that defeated Melbourne City Youth 3-2 last weekend. Brook and new recruit Massimo Falco from Adelaide City both featured on the wings.
After conceding inside three minutes, Brook equalised with a curling effort which nestled into the bottom corner.
Former Reds midfielder, George Mells, put Roar Youth in front just before half-time while Muratovic slotted a second penalty following the re-start after Jack Hingert was again fouled in the box.
Jai Ingham then made it 4-1 with a tap-in from close range on 80 minutes and deep in stoppage time Muratovic completed his treble with an easy finish of his own.
Adelaide have a bye next week before returning to action at home to Perth Glory Youth.
