It went down to the wire in an epic Hyundai A-League Semi Final as the Reds came from two goals down against Perth Glory to equalise through Baba Diawara and Ryan Kitto, the latter with virtually the last kick of the game in the 94th minute. Perth regained the lead in extra-time before Michael Marrone headed a third for Adelaide United and take it to a penalty shootout. Perth would go on to claim a place in the Hyundai A-League 2019 Grand Final with a 5-4 shootout victory.
