Adelaide United goalkeeper, Joe Gauci, will donate $1,100 to the Childhood Cancer Association (CCA) following his pledge to donate $20 for every save he made for the Reds from mid-March.
This is the second time Gauci, a proud CCA Ambassador, has made a pledge to donate money dependant on the number of saves he makes in a game, following his $820 donation in 2022.
Gauci said: “As a proud ambassador of the Childhood Cancer Association, I felt it was important to continue to raise awareness of the tremendous work they do.
“It would be great if Reds fans and the broader South Australian community can get behind this important cause and help kids with cancer and their families.
“Whether it’s $5 to lend a helping hand, $20 to match one of my saves, or matching my pledge tally of $1,100 to make an even bigger impact – any contribution is greatly appreciated.”
Despite his A-Leagues season officially coming to an end, Gauci will also participate in the Stadium Stomp on Sunday, 18 June alongside fellow CCA Ambassador, Jarrod Walsh.
