After ten weeks, the Adelaide United Soccer School concluded today with a special one hour session at Hindmarsh Stadium with a host of the Reds- A-League stars.
Led by former United midfielder Lucas Pantelis, the final session was a chance for the kids to have a kick on the Reds- iconic home ground and rub shoulders with some of their favourite current players.
Reds captain Eugene Galekovic presented each participant with a certificate for completing the program, which is aimed to be even bigger and better for the next Soccer School set for later in the year.
During the ten weeks, participants have undertaken various skill activities including passing, shooting, dribbling and 1v1.
“Over the last ten weeks I have noticed a real improvement in not only their skills with the ball, but also their commitment and discipline towards the game,” Pantelis said.
“I-d like to thank our sponsors Coiltek Manufacturing and Rio Coffee for their generosity in supporting the program because without them much of this wouldn-t be possible.”
“We also know it is a big effort for parents to bring their kids out for the sessions every week, but I think from looking at the smiles on their faces today that it has been an enjoyable program.”
The club is planning to hold its next Soccer School in Term 4 so keep an eye out for details on how to register. The Soccer School is for boys and girls aged 5-16.
