Harry Crawford Signs First Professional Contract With Adelaide United

Adelaide United is delighted to announce that promising young talent Harry Crawford has signed his first professional contract, committing to the Club until the end of the 2029 season.

The 18-year-old defender and winger has already made six senior appearances for the Reds, including four in the Isuzu UTE A-League—where he netted his first league goal—and two in the Australia Cup.

Crawford made his debut for Adelaide United in the Australia Cup against Blacktown City before earning his A-League Men’s debut against Newcastle Jets after impressing in an NPL friendly earlier that day. Most recently, he showcased his attacking prowess with a stunning strike against Brisbane Roar at Coopers Stadium.

Having progressed through the ranks at Elizabeth Vale, Adelaide Croatia Raiders, and Football South Australia’s NTC program, Crawford is another example of South Australian talent thriving at the Reds.

Speaking on his new contract, Crawford said:

“It was always my goal to play for the Reds. The goal at the weekend felt surreal, and it was so special to score at Coopers Stadium.”

“This is where I always wanted to be, and I’m incredibly grateful to the Club for believing in my ability. I will continue to work hard to improve every day on and off the pitch.

This is the right environment for me to develop and improve,” Crawford concluded.

Adelaide United Head of Football, Marius Zanin, praised Crawford’s dedication and potential:

“Harry’s hard work has paid off, and this is a great example of how commitment and perseverance are rewarded. He has an exciting future ahead, and we’re looking forward to watching him develop further.

“He’s another talented South Australian player coming through, and we’re thrilled to have him as part of our future,” Zanin concluded

Crawford’s signing reaffirms Adelaide United’s commitment to fostering local talent and providing a clear pathway from grassroots football to the professional stage.
