Ahead of their game against the Wanderers, four of Adelaide United’s stars took time out to visit some of the patients at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
Bruce Djite, Cameron Watson, Osama Malik and Tarek Elrich took to the second floor of the children’s quarters at the hospital to stop in and catch up with the young patients at the ward.
The guys were greeted by a host of smiles and excitement as they shared a laugh and a story as well as hand out posters and other Reds merchandise to the kids.
From the smiles on the kids’ faces, it certainly seemed to brighten up their day.
“The nurses, doctors and all of the staff here do an amazing job,” Elrich said.
“I know the guys really enjoy giving something back to the community and it means a lot to be able to go and meet some of the kids in the wards and have some fun with them.”
The visit was part of the club’s dedicated community program, proudly sponsored by Stratco.
