Isaías says having a passionate home crowd behind them will serve as a massive advantage when they battle Melbourne City in the second Elimination Final on Sunday night.

The Adelaide United captain was expecting nothing less than a tough contest against City given the pair’s close meetings in recent times.

Isaías warned the Reds will need to nullify their attacking players who possess a lot of quality on the ball.

“We know that it’s going to be a difficult game,” he told reporters following training.

“They’ve very, very good individual players and I hope we as a team can avoid them having the best game.

“But we know that we’ve worked really hard during the whole season and we know we’ve the chance to make a special season, and I hope we can go through to the next round.”

Marco Kurz has every play fit for the match and now has the difficult decision of picking his starting eleven.

“I think it’s so important to have everyone fit,” he said.

“It’s a difficult decision now for Marco to choose from, but I think it’s good because everyone is pushing to get his own spot to be in the first eleven or even to be in the squad.

“So I think it’s good because everyone is doing their best.”

The 32-year-old, who won a Club-record fourth Aurelio Vidmar Club Champion Award for another stellar campaign on Tuesday night, admitted his initial shock.

However, the Spaniard said he would trade all four of his accolades for another Championship this season.

“It was so special for me, I know that it’s a really difficult award to get and especially when you get four,” he revealed.

“I was surprised because we had a lot of players that had a fantastic season so I’m even prouder.”

Isaías said playing at Coopers Stadium will also help lift the players perform at an even higher level.

“We know that in front of our fans we’re stronger,” he said.

“And we know that we should win at home because in front of our fans we should give them a special moment to finish the season.”

Adelaide United host Melbourne City in a Hyundai A-League 2018/19 Elimination Final on Sunday, 5 May at Coopers Stadium. Kick-off is at 6.30pm ACST. Gates open 5.30pm.
