Isaías says his Adelaide United teammates are raring to get the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 season underway.
The Reds kick-off the highly anticipated season against back-to-back reigning premiers Sydney FC this Friday night in a blockbuster clash.
Speaking at the Club’s Season Launch on Saturday night, Isaías said his side can take a lot of confidence into the new campaign following a strong pre-season and FFA Cup 2018 run.
“We had a very, very long and hard pre-season, but I think we’re ready for the season,” Isaías said.
“And we’ve a very competitive squad this season and the young players are pushing very hard so it makes the older players play better.”

In what will be Head Coach, Marco Kurz’s, second year in charge, Isaías believes the Reds will be even more equipped for experiencing success this season.
“I think last season we started a new project, a new philosophy, a new style and I think everybody is used to the style right now,” he said.
“And with the new players that we’ve brought in this season with new experience, I think we’ve a very strong squad and I think we’ll have a very special season.”
The Spaniard also admitted that taking the FFA Cup 2018 seriously has again paid dividends after reaching and this time hosting the final.
Now, the Reds are determined to go one better and avenge last year’s FFA Cup Final loss.
“We played this trophy very seriously from the start,” he stated.
“We know that it’s very difficult to lift a trophy and very important for the Club, the city and the players.
“And I think it’s very difficult to arrive in this moment and I hope in a couple of weeks we can lift a trophy for this city.”

But the United Captain said they will need the help of all the supporters to get them over the line.
“The supporters are very important I think with the support we can beat anyone in the league,” he continued.
“But especially in the cup final in a couple of weeks we need the support from everyone because it’s going to be a special night for us.”
