Adelaide United defender, Ryan Kitto, spoke to Paramount+ following the Reds’ 1-0 win over Macarthur on Friday night.
Zach Clough put Carl Veart’s side in front after just six minutes, which was enough for United to seal all three points.
Speaking to Max Burford, Kitto gave his thoughts on the match overall and highlighted an inspired performance from Nick Ansell.
Kitto said:
“We started well with the goal, and then lost Ben Warland, which was a shame.
“But the effort and the desire that the players put in is important.
“It wasn’t the prettiest of performances, but it’s something we can definitely build on now and I’m super proud of all the boys.
“I want to congratulate Nick Ansell as well.
“He’s had such a long road to come back from injury and it was a super shift from him and he led us brilliantly from the back.
“He hasn’t played in a long time but I’m so happy to see him back.
“He’s such great player and a great person and I feel he’s going to play a big part in this second half of the season for us.”
