Adelaide United can advise midfielder, Nathan Konstandopoulos, has been cleared to return to play after successfully recovering from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament sustained in February last year.

Upon his return, the 25-year-old has also signed a new contract until the end of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2021/22 season.

Konstandopoulos, who returned to the Reds in 2017, has scored seven goals in 69 appearances across his two stints with the Club.

Speaking on his return and new deal, Konstandopoulos said: “I’m excited that I have been given the all clear to return to football.

“It’s been a long and tough journey but one where I’ve embraced every challenge thrown at me and I’m just now really keen to get back to helping the Club be successful again.”
Adelaide United Head Coach, Carl Veart, said: “Nathan has passed all the necessary protocols and steps implemented by our medical team to ensure his safe return to competitive football following a lengthy rehabilitation process.

“It has been a really tough time for Nathan after two serious injuries, but his dedication and determination to come back fitter and stronger is a testament to his incredible character and resilience.

“No one has worked more tirelessly than Nathan, and we’re thrilled to have him back playing and look forward to him helping the team.”
