Adelaide United’s midfield maestro, Isaías, spoke to media at Coopers Stadium on Friday afternoon, discussing the Reds’ upcoming clash against Macarthur FC on Sunday.

With time to digest his side’s 1-1 draw with Wellington in Round 1, Isaías explained how attention quickly shifted to this week’s opponents and how to secure three points on the road.

Analysing Macarthur:
“I think (Macarthur) have a very strong squad.

“Obviously their forwards are very, very (high) quality players and they are very dangerous.

“But we have worked this week on how to try to stop them and how to try to find the spaces for us to help (beat) them when we have the ball and I think we can get the three points.”

A returning Hiro:
“We’re happy to have (Hiroshi) back (after serving his one-game suspension).

“He’s an important player for us.

“He has a lot of experience and goals in his veins.

“Obviously, he’s a top player and he make everything so easy for for everyone.

“I think he understands the game really well and even when we give him difficult balls (to deal with), he will always make it look easy and will make us play better because of his quality.”

Three weeks away from home:
“We would like to play as soon as possible in Coopers Stadium because we like to play in front of our fans.

“But this is the way that this season starts and we’re happy to go away and to (earn) some points away.

“(Then) we play a few more games at the end of the season at home so it’s not a problem.

“I think the team is looking sharp and is ready, and I think we have a team that can go anywhere around the league and get the three points.”

Feeling good, like he should:
“I’m feeling very good (and) I’m very happy with my preseason.

“Last year, I struggled a little bit because I arrived late to pre-season, then I struggled a little bit at the start of the season.

“This season I arrived a bit earlier, so I could do my ‘homework’.

“I feel much better and I feel much, much sharper.”
