Adelaide United Football Club advises that defender Michael Marrone has undergone surgery today to fix a break to his leg sustained in Friday night’s 2-2 draw with Melbourne Heart at Coopers Stadium.
He has had a plate and screw put into his right fibula. The operation was successful and the long term prognosis is very positive. At this stage he will miss around 4 months and should be ready to join pre-season training just a bit behind the rest of the playing group.
The Adelaide United Football Club wishes Michael a speedy recovery and look forward to having re-join the squad in pre-season.
