Adelaide United is pleased to welcome Mount Barker United as the newest club to join the Adelaide United Junior Partner Club Program, further strengthening the connection between the Reds and junior football communities across South Australia.
The partnership will provide Mount Barker United with access to Adelaide United’s football expertise, shared knowledge and development resources, with a focus on supporting the growth of players, coaches and the wider football community.
Through collaboration and a clear development pathway, the Junior Partner Club Program aims to help clubs continue raising the standard of junior football, while creating greater opportunities for young players to develop their skills in a positive and supportive environment.
The partnership has already commenced with Adelaide United Head of Football Development, Marcelo Carrusca, delivering a presentation to Mount Barker United’s coaching staff, sharing insights around coaching methodologies, player development and creating effective environments for young footballers to thrive.

Carrusca highlighted the importance of strong relationships between professional clubs and grassroots organisations in building the future of football in South Australia.
“Our Junior Partner Club Program is about working together with clubs like Mount Barker United to support coaches, develop players and strengthen the football pathway across the state,” Carrusca said.
“The most important part of player development is creating the right environment from a young age. By sharing knowledge and collaborating with local clubs, we can help provide coaches with the tools they need to continue improving and give players the best possible opportunities to grow.”
Mount Barker United’s inclusion in the program reinforces Adelaide United’s commitment to connecting with grassroots football and investing in the next generation of South Australian players and coaches.
The Reds look forward to working closely with Mount Barker United throughout the partnership and making a positive impact both on and off the field.
