Adelaide United Youth are on the road in Round 13 of the South Australian National Premier League 2018 Season, facing Adelaide Comets in Loxton for the NPL Regional Round on Sunday.
The Young Reds came up against Sturt Lions last time out in what was a thrilling game for the spectators.
United came back from a three-goal deficit at half-time to claim a 3-3 draw.
Man of the Match, Carlo Armiento, scored a brace for the Reds and helped them bring the game back from what seemed like an insurmountable lead for Sturt.
Armiento was thoughtful on the performance and how the result was an accurate reflection on the day.
“It was a bit of a frustrating game, we didn’t start how we wanted to, but we showed character to get back into the game,” Armiento said.
“We brought it back to three all and tried to push for a fourth but we didn’t get it so it was a frustrating one.
“I think we were feeling a little down because we knew we had to get the three points and we put in so much effort to get it back to three all.
“And we started a bit slow, but now we look to next week when we go to Loxton and we try and get a result against Comets.”

Head Coach, Paul Pezos, was quick to let the boys know at half-time that there was still the possibility to come away with something from the game.
Armiento, whose first goal came from the penalty spot five minutes after the break, was sure it would ignite the Reds’ fighting spirit.
“That was the message at half time, that we needed an early goal if we were going to bring back the game and we scored three goals in 10 minutes,” he said.
Away from home this week the Young Reds are looking to get back into winning form against a tough team in Loxton.
The event occurs annually and aims to increase involvement and exposure of the sport in regional South Australia.
United will be looking to further strengthen their position on the table and close the gap on the fourth-placed Comets to maintain their finals objective.
The two side’s previously met back in Round 2 with the Reds winning 2-0 at home.
But this time around Armiento is expecting a completely different match.
“It’s going to be a different game, in Loxton, most of the boys haven’t done the country round, myself included but we’re just going to try our best,” he said.
“We never look into the opposition side as much, but every team has a senior player, they’ve got (Tom) Briscoe for example.
“We’ve got to win six games, I believe, to make finals and that’s our goal but one game at a time.
“We leave Saturday, train that morning as well and sleep up there, then we play, leave at nine and it’s a whole different experience.”
Adelaide United Youth face Adelaide Comets in Round 13 of the National Premier League 2018 season on Sunday, 27 May at Loxton Football Oval. Kick-off is at 3.00 PM ACST.
