Last week, Goal.com unveiled its annual NXGN list, featuring Adelaide United sensation Nestory Irankunda among the World’s Top 50 Wonderkids.
Annually, Goal.com evaluates the premier talents born after January 1st, 2005, showcasing football prodigies.
The 2024 rankings were led by Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, Real Madrid’s Endrick and PSG’s Warren Zaire-Emery.
Coming in at 49th, Nestory Irankunda is the only A-League player to feature.
Irankunda has featured in 19 A-League games this season, starting in 12.
In November 2023, the 18-year-old agreed terms with FC Bayern München to make the move to the Bundesliga giants at the end of the 2023-24 season.
An Adelaide Croatia Raiders junior, the 18-year-old is already the most prolific goal scorer under the age of 20 in A-League history, having registered nine goals in his 38 games so far.
