Adelaide’s annual Italian feast and festival, Carnivale, had a distinctive Red flavour to it in 2011.
For the first time, Carnivale included an inaugural Carnivale Cup, a two day football tournament involving boys teams from six local clubs. To celebrate the competition, Adelaide United-s Mathew Leckie, Daniel Mullen, Francisco Usucar and Andy Slory were special guests at the Grand Final.
The players were on hand to watch the game before presenting medals to the participants and spending time signing autographs and posing for photos with kids and adults alike.
The tournament was a great success with Adelaide City Under 13-s crowned as the inaugural winners.
