Bartercard, the world’s largest trade exchange, kicked a winning goal today after announcing it has signed a one-year deal to become a Silver Partner for Adelaide United Football Club (AUFC).

Bartercard is a global business network where members exchange products and services without using cash – attracting new customers, reducing expenses and boosting profits along the way.

But it’s Bartercard’s involvement in the sporting space that makes the latest deal a square partnership. Since launching in 1991, Bartercard has invested over $100 million into the sporting and not-for-profit space, placing local communities high on its list.

Since launching, Bartercard’s built a presence in nine countries and counting where members trade everything from a hamburger to business essentials and real estate – stacking up to $600 million traded globally each year.

But it’s at a grassroots level where Bartercard is really making a difference, creating local, supportive business communities like in Adelaide, where hundreds of members trade products and services without opening their wallets.

Adelaide United Business Development Manager James Sellar said the club is thrilled to begin an exciting partnership with a rapidly growing company.

”Bartercard has a fantastic model for businesses-to-business trade transactions that’s part of a digital bartering revolution,” he said.

“We’re looking forward to working with Bartercard for the upcoming season.”

AUFC’s latest supporter is excited to see the on-field action across the season.
