Reds bid farewell to four players

Adelaide United can officially confirm the departures of four players from its squad following the completion of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2021/22 season.

Defenders, Jacob Tratt and George Timotheou, as well as midfielder, Joe Caletti and striker, Kusini Yengi, will all depart the Club.

Tratt played 17 games and scored one goal in all competitions, while Timotheou amassed a total of 22 appearances in two campaigns with Adelaide.

Caletti also spent two seasons at Coopers Stadium and accumulated 33 matches.

Meanwhile, Yengi scored six goals in 28 games after making his senior debut in February 2020.

Speaking about the departures, Adelaide United Head Coach, Carl Veart, said: “I’d like to thank Jacob, George, Joe, and Kusini for their contributions to the team.

“They have all helped build a strong culture within the dressing room and have helped our Club progress.

“Regarding Kusini, the Club did table an offer and had discussions to retain him, however he decided he wanted to try develop his football elsewhere.

“Nevertheless, we wish all four boys, and their families, well for the next stage of their careers.”

Adelaide United would like to thank Jacob, George, Joe, and Kusini for their time at the Club and wish them the best for their futures.
